Gaseous - 1 Man DOB
These compact and lightweight Gaseous Passenger Mask Dispensing Units are designed to deploy automatically, in case of cabin decompression with a single (1) TSO-C64a certified constant flow oxygen mask. By pulling the mask down, the passenger is removing the pin from the valve assembly which triggers immediately the calibrated flow of oxygen to the mask. This unique and reliable state of the art design encompasses two key features to help assist with the installation and yearly testing that is required by the FAA. First and foremost is the ability to REMOVE THE CONTAINER itself from the aircraft cabin! This can be done each and every time for installation and/or visual inspection of the passenger mask, thus enabling the installer to package the containers with the mask on a table directly in front of him/her (No more installing the mask in the aircraft upside down!). The second key design with this unit is the “TEST LATCH” feature. Enabling the test latch allows the technician to perform any necessary deployment test without requiring the passenger mask/s to fully deploy. The lid drops just enough to verify the containers are working properly. A small amount of pressure applied to the lid automatically releases the test latch, locks the lid in place and returns the deployment container into its normal functioning position.
