Dual Altitude Switch

Product No.: P24120

With its unique design, the P24120 Dual Barometric Altitude Switch can actuate or de-activate two systems at the same time or can be calibrated to resolve higher altitude landings. The Barometric Altitude Switch is primarily used for operation of the Passenger Oxygen System and can be used to activate other ancillary devices. Normally located in the pressurized area of the aircraft cabin, the altitude switch will sense an increase in cabin altitude and will switch at a pre-determined altitude to actuate or de-activate valves, annunciators, information signs, humidification systems, entertainments systems, etc. Upon a lowering of cabin altitude, the device will re-actuate terminating power to the operational components. The sensor is an evacuated aneroid capsule that expands and contracts as a function of atmospheric pressure. The pressure fitting allows ground testing of the system by applying a vacuum to the fitting simulating cabin altitude variations. The switching element is provided with silver contacts and will handle inductive switching loads of 2.5 AMP at 28VDC.
